Log Inventory for the Guest Cabin – Updated 9Nov22

Today’s post will be quite short and we are trying something new. I want to keep you updated on the logs that I sort through on each trip, but I only get through a few each trip and it wouldn’t make for all that great of a blog post. Instead, I’m going to try and keep this post updated as we go as a sort of log inventory. For those of you that really enjoy looking at data, this post is for you 🙂

Now it’s time for me to go outside and enjoy this beautiful fall day!

Update 14Oct22: Got a quick day trip in yesterday and a few more logs added to the pile. Have a great weekend everyone!

Update 18Oct22: Got another day trip in yesterday and it turned out to be an extremely productive day! Seven logs moved and at least one that I think will be good enough to use as a roof log. It feels good to be making this much progress before winter. Not sure how many more trips I’ll get in this year. Be sure to check back later this week as I should have another flashback post ready!

Update 9Nov22: I did an overnight trip last week, and got in a couple days of work to get through the first pile of logs! Two more piles left, but they probably won’t provide as many logs. They also likely won’t be as large in terms of diameters. I’m done for at least one more week until deer hunting rifle season ends. Snow will decide if I get any more trips in this year 😀

Cabin logs as of 9Nov22. I added my axe, cant hook, and work gloves in the lower left to try and add a little scale.

Did a lot of adding to the firewood piles as well 🙂
